Design and Material Selection

Our journey begins with a collaborative design phase, where our engineering team works closely with clients to understand their specific needs. Utilizing cutting-edge CAD software, we develop detailed designs that balance functionality with aesthetic appeal. Material selection is crucial; we primarily use High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)and Polypropylene (PP) for their strength, flexibility, and resistance to low temperatures. These materials ensure our freezer trays withstand the rigors of freezing environments without compromising integrity.

Precision Tooling and Mold Creation

Once the design is finalized, we move to the tooling phase. Partnering with some of the finest toolmakers in the country, we create molds that are both precise and durable. Our molds are designed for optimal performance and minimal maintenance, ensuring consistent quality across production runs. This attention to detail in mold creation is integral to producing trays that meet our exacting standards.​

Injection Molding Process

With the molds ready, we commence the injection molding process:​

  1. Material Preparation: Plastic pellets are fed into our state-of-the-art injection molding machines, where they are heated to a molten state.​
  2. Injection: The molten plastic is injected into the mold cavity under high pressure, ensuring it fills every contour of the mold.​
  3. Cooling: The mold is cooled, allowing the plastic to solidify into the desired tray shape.​
  4. Ejection: Once solidified, the newly formed tray is ejected from the mold.​

Our facility houses injection molding presses ranging from 100 to 660 tons of clamping force, each equipped with high-speed robotic takeout systems. This automation enhances efficiency, reduces cycle times, and ensures consistent product quality. ​

Quality Assurance and Finishing

Post-molding, each tray undergoes rigorous quality checks. Our technicians inspect for dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and surface finish. Any excess material, known as flash, is trimmed to ensure smooth edges. For clients requiring custom features such as specific colors or branding, we incorporate these elements during the finishing stage, delivering a product tailored to their needs.​

  • 3930 - 7 Channel Quarts: Available in sizes like 32.50 x 23.25" and 28.25 x 20.50".​
  • 4550/4489 - 8 Channel Pint (White/Black): Sizes such as 31.50 x 23.625" and 31.50 x 21.125".​
  • 4469 - 8 Channel Pints: Multiple sizes, including 32.25 x 22.50" and 27.25 x 18.50".​
  • 4487 - 6 Channel 1.50 or 1.75 Quarts: Measuring 30.50 x 21.125".​
  • 4490 - 7 Channel Pints: At 28.00 x 21.125".​
